2. Infrastructure & Hosting (IaaS) #

We operate this website on servers located in the data center of Hetzner Online GmbH, Industriestr. 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen, Germany.

We have concluded a data processing agreement with Hetzner pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR. Processing takes place within the EU/EEA (server location: Germany). Hetzner does not independently access content; however, access cannot be excluded as part of maintenance/support as well as network and hardware operations.

3. Access Data (Server Logs) #

When you access our website, the web server automatically processes the following data:

  • IP address of the requesting device
  • Date and time of the request, time zone
  • Requested resource/URL, HTTP status code
  • Transferred data volume
  • Referrer URL (if transmitted by your browser)
  • User-Agent (browser, operating system)

Purposes: Ensuring technical operation, IT security, abuse prevention, error analysis.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interests in stability and security).
Retention period: 60 days, then deletion or anonymization. Longer retention may occur in specific cases (e.g., to investigate security incidents).
Recipients: internal; Hetzner Online GmbH as infrastructure service provider (processor).

4. Cookies / Access to Terminal Equipment #

We set no cookies and use no other storage on your device unless you consent to web analytics with Google Analytics (see Section 5). Without your consent, no analytics cookies or comparable access to terminal equipment will occur (Sec. 25(1) TTDSG – German Telecommunications Telemedia Data Protection Act).

We use Google Analytics for reach and usage analysis only with your consent.

Scope of processing: With consent, Google Analytics collects usage data (e.g., page views, interactions, approximate location/region, technical characteristics). In particular, it processes online identifiers (e.g., cookie/client ID), IP address (see IP anonymization), device/browser information, timestamps, referrer URL.
IP anonymization: Google Analytics is operated with IP anonymization (default in GA4), i.e., your IP address is truncated before storage.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR in conjunction with Sec. 25(1) TTDSG (consent). You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future (see “Withdrawal”).
Retention in Google Analytics: We set event/usage data retention to 12 months.
Recipients & third-country transfer: Google Ireland Limited as processor; Google LLC (USA) as sub-processor where applicable. A transfer to third countries (in particular the USA) may occur. Appropriate safeguards are used (e.g., EU Standard Contractual Clauses and/or participation in the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, where applicable).
Data Processing Agreement: We have concluded a DPA with Google pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR.

Withdrawal / Opt-out:

  • You can change your consent at any time via our privacy settings
  • Additionally, you can use the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
  • You can control or disable cookies in your browser settings; without consent, we do not set analytics cookies.

Implementation note: Google Analytics is integrated so that no cookies are set before consent (e.g., via a consent banner / Consent Mode). Without consent, no personal reach measurement takes place.

6. Content & Contact #

Our website provides static content; there are no interactive features (e.g., forms) through which personal data is collected.

If you contact us by email, we process the data you provide to handle your inquiry.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (pre-contractual/contractual communication) or Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (general inquiries).
Retention: until your inquiry has been completed and subject to statutory retention obligations.

We use TLS/SSL encryption and implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data (Art. 32 GDPR).
